crazy last few days, tonite caught in the storm.

been a crazy few days here dog wise. had young dogs break out of kennel and hunted all over the country. drifty solo got tore up by i assume a coon and was picked up coming out of cornfield couple miles east of me. joe and weez came out west of my place in rough pasture-wooded area full of ravines covered in dirt and joe has bite in leg. sure they had coon underground somewhere. was a blessing they never got on roads and i sure felt bad it was wicked hot and humid. cant be thankful enough for good people that are smart enough to look at collars and call rite away. little joes planned layup got interupted with the knothead making his own door in the kennel.

had a daytime run with weez also after call that neighbor seen coon go into sweetcorn. rushed over and walked her in and she smoked it into hay shed and caught and finished in bale pile.

today jeff came down with clyde and we did some fixing on his truck and he helped finish one of my kennels behind house. funny how well things go with a professional carpenter after i had a mess going. i am worlds worst carpenter!!!

first run we treed rite before dark with 3 kits, and big storm was brewing. hunted awhile and last tree we got to, storm hit hardcore. we got soaked and lightning wasnt pretty. in between first and last drop had 1.5 mile garmin track with under ground bayup. got dogs called out and they had to swim and dunk heads to get out.

few pics from first and last tree. minn, trix, clyde, and drifty. storm is a dandy radar shows it covering whole state north to south and i was happy to get home!

first tree rite before dark.
