Kennel floor Concrete or wood ????

having to relocate my dogs. They are currently on my concrete kennel of 10 years. Its easy to clean. My downfall is I think its hard on there legs and feet. I worked in a factory for 11 years on concrete. My knees and legs often hurt. Just wondering if the concrete is really hard on there feet or not. Also when its cold in the winter the concrete is extremely cold on there feet.Thinking about going to a kennel with a wood floor. But I know concrete out last wood. Just wanting some opionions

I've had both, I'd stay with concrete. You can buy the rubber horse mats and put in there for them to get some relief. Jus take them out every so often, hang them up, spray them off and disinfect them.

I have mine on raised platforms with exterior plywood sealed with thompsons deck sealer. Some are going on 8 years, I have them sloped for runoff and clean up every day. With another man I could move them anywhere by just taking the kennel panels apart. I have 4 set up 6x10's jmho

I'm not much on pics but I just used 2x4s treated lumber for the frames topped with ext plywood so you end up with a 6x10 platform. I reseal them every 3 years.Kennel panels welded wire type are from tractor supply. I did have a problem with the bottom rail rusting out tractor supply would not stand by their product. I used pipe strapping to secure panels to the wood. Here is the bottom line, Do what you can afford and are comfortable with for me it happens to be wood platforms.
