I have two.
One is a Ronco and I do not like it. The ex-wife bought it years ago. It does not have a fan and takes forever. but if you do not mind waiting it is ok.
I have a Hamilton Beach I bought from Wal-Mart last year for like 60 bucks. It has a fan and works great.
I dehydrate alot of stuff. Apples, bananas, peppers. I love mine almost as much as my foodsaver.
