Thanks guys for all the congrats on Tater’s win. We had some storms here while we were gone, and apparently we got hit by lightning….the computer made it, but the router didn’t. They finally came this afternoon to swap it out, so we’re back online. I’m embarrassed to say I felt lost without internet access. Anyway…
Congrats to Dean and Fixin on your opposite sex win! And Congrats to all the other winners from the events this weekend as well!
Thanks to the St. Louis Coonhunters Club and the American Redbone Association officers and members for putting on a great event. We had a really nice time. Facilities were great, and everything seemed to run smoothly. As always, we enjoyed meeting new faces, and visiting with all of you that we know. Kelly, thanks a bunch for hanging with Abram. I think he’s sang your & his song and played for no fewer than a dozen people in the last 2 days. Thanks to our good luck charm, Larry Turpin, for tagging along Thursday night and for making some important crosses back in the day that got us where we are today. To the gang that we camped with (a total of 18 people, & 9 of them kids)…..it was a blast, thanks for all your help. And thanks to Scott Brown, for the early training you put into Tater, and then letting us bring him back here to our kennel. He’s not perfect, but he sure is a fun dog to hunt, and we think he’ll be an important link in our breeding program.
Tim, we’re half crazy, I don’t think anyone will dispute that! I’m sure we were quite the site Sunday morning. Aubrey came and told me to get the kids up because we had to go get a picture before UKC left. He never told me what for. Imagine my surprise when I walked in the room and seen that trophy sitting there. I never expected that. I’ll admit, at our first redbone days, we went and looked at the trophies, and said “some day we want to win that BIG one.” But over the years, it’s become “I can’t wait to go visit with, meet, or maybe draw out with so-and-so” instead of looking for that overall win. We feel very blessed. Thanks again to you all.
