The WINNERS of ARCA Days---

Overall Redbone Days High Scoring Dog: NITECH FCH GRCH PR Red Ryders Red Fever Tater, owned by Aubrey or Ann Butler of Reedstown, WI and handled by Aubrey

Redbone Days Opposite Sex: PR Daugherty’s Red Fixin, owned and handled by Dean Daugherty of Marshall, IL

Had a GREAT time meeting a lot of OLD friends and made a few new ones. Anyone that likes the T-Top blood should get on the ad site and give Raymond a call from AR. I seen those pups and had a nice two day visit with Raymond and his wife. Those pups have all the actions, houndy looks and blood to tree coon-cat or bear. I know one little girl has a new home and her blood "may" just be in the "Northern" part of the country some day.

I was lucky enough, thanks to Terry Finder, to get ahold of Jerry Anderson and bring home a little girl that carries Norman Lufcy-Jerry's old Smokey and the cross of Blakesley's Moose and Albert Camerons old Penny.

I also got to see the score cards from the first 2 nights---Very interesting---we'll just leave it at that.

Congratulations

Way to go everyone. Aubrey and family it was nice to see you all again and great to see you win the whole thing.

Dean and Fixin are another great team. He finishes Bubba to GrNite earlier this year and just grabs whatever he has laying around the kennel and hauls it to American Days. Comes back with the opposite sex winner. congratulations Dean .Put me on the Bubba/Fixin list. I want a female.

I agree, just how many are in that gang? I saw them from a distance once this past weekend and it looked like about 10. I don't see how they keep from losing one or two. I can't imagine how much work goes into getting dogs and kids ready to go to a big hunt like this. I bet that it takes a week just to get everything packed.

There are 4 of their own, but another family was camped beside them. I saw Aubrey packing up the tent and everything Saturday afternoon and thought they were pulling out. Sunday I asked Aubrey about it and he said they wanted to pack up before the rain. They must have slept in the packed van. Wow.

Don't know how they do it but there's nobody higher on my good people list then the Butlers . Plus they enter dogs in everything going on day & night , talk about doing it all . Usually do some serious driving to get there to .

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS

Thanks guys for all the congrats on Tater’s win. We had some storms here while we were gone, and apparently we got hit by lightning….the computer made it, but the router didn’t. They finally came this afternoon to swap it out, so we’re back online. I’m embarrassed to say I felt lost without internet access. Anyway…

Congrats to Dean and Fixin on your opposite sex win! And Congrats to all the other winners from the events this weekend as well!

Thanks to the St. Louis Coonhunters Club and the American Redbone Association officers and members for putting on a great event. We had a really nice time. Facilities were great, and everything seemed to run smoothly. As always, we enjoyed meeting new faces, and visiting with all of you that we know. Kelly, thanks a bunch for hanging with Abram. I think he’s sang your & his song and played for no fewer than a dozen people in the last 2 days. Thanks to our good luck charm, Larry Turpin, for tagging along Thursday night and for making some important crosses back in the day that got us where we are today. To the gang that we camped with (a total of 18 people, & 9 of them kids)…..it was a blast, thanks for all your help. And thanks to Scott Brown, for the early training you put into Tater, and then letting us bring him back here to our kennel. He’s not perfect, but he sure is a fun dog to hunt, and we think he’ll be an important link in our breeding program.

Tim, we’re half crazy, I don’t think anyone will dispute that! I’m sure we were quite the site Sunday morning. Aubrey came and told me to get the kids up because we had to go get a picture before UKC left. He never told me what for. Imagine my surprise when I walked in the room and seen that trophy sitting there. I never expected that. I’ll admit, at our first redbone days, we went and looked at the trophies, and said “some day we want to win that BIG one.” But over the years, it’s become “I can’t wait to go visit with, meet, or maybe draw out with so-and-so” instead of looking for that overall win. We feel very blessed. Thanks again to you all.

Aubrey, Ann, & Family
