Anybody know where it is at?
What line of English dogs, or a particular stud dog, is throwing dogs that are open on the ground with a squall or bawl mouth? Not looking for one that barks every time it's foot hits the ground, but one that strikes when it smells a coon and then drifts a track barking here and there as it goes so you know where it is going. I hate taking 3rd and 4th strike in honest company, but don't want one that stands on its head or boohoos around on the ground either. It seems like all I see today are dogs that bark 2 or 3 times and load up on a tree, or just fall treed 75% of the time. I like a layup dog as much as the next guy when coons aren't moving good, but let's be real, not every coon is a layup. I know some folks like dogs that are quiet because they tend to perform well in the hunts, but that's not my only purpose. I know the type of dog I am looking for used to be out there, but I'm having trouble finding it lately. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
