Update on Amber

Amber is now about 17months old. She was put in one ukc hunt with a first place win at 11months. She had a good season and treed a bunch of coons. She is an hard going independent little dog that perfers to be alone.

I am going to try to finish my other female's last two nt ch wins and then I'll get Amber in some hunts and try to finish her.

She is not for sale I only posted her to brag and put a photo on for those who had asked how she was doing. Happy hunting, Jim.

Good picture Jim. I've heard a lot about her from our plott buddies. I bought cassie (my red female) back after shotgun died, maybe I'll come down with garrison some night and we'll see how the red dogs do against those plott dogs.

Travis

You should come next time Garrison does, I don't know if we can beat old Trax but between the two of us he'll have to work for it, Jim.

Amber

Put Amber in a nite hunt last night at Prarie Home, Mo.

She picked up a first place win, two down, one to go. She got deep and alone with the meat !!!! I'm very proud of her, Jim.

Congratulations Jim!

I am glad she continues to do well for you.

I bred Jenny to Rex's Dual Grand Jim dog Saturday night.... thanks Rex and Paul for allowing this to get done.

Jim, this is Banjo 3 stuff again, with a shot of Rusty Red on the bottom side. The first cross out of Paul's Bo dog has some really nice young dogs out of it so it only made sense to try something similar again.... I think you would like Rex's dog.

Jenny is 8 now so we'll see how how this turns out and if she is able to raise any.... I will let you know....

Warmest regards,

Mark

Thanks guys, I'll keep her in the timber she's alot of fun to hunt with. I'll try for that third win after I hunt her by herself another month or so, I don't want her to get any bad habits in her brain.
I drawed some amazingly fast dogs, they beat the coon to the tree on three occasions !!!!! Amber wasn't at any of those trees but she is young and I don't want her around to much of that on a regular basis. I'd rather take it slow and safe so she continues good progress.
Mark I sent you a pm, Jim.

Sounds like you've got her headed in the right direction. Unfortunately, her sire had to be put down several weeks ago. He finally just shut down. Lots of great hunts with that dog and hope you'll enjoy Amber as much as we did Bo.

Allen, Paul, Mark, I bet y'all are foaming at the mouth waiting on those B3 X Bozo pups. I hope that she has a pile of them.

Angry Allen

Sorry to hear about old Bo. The good ones are hard to find and their time here seems so short.

I'm sure that Amber will give him a titled pup for his legacy, Jim.

Thanks, Travis

I also need to thank Roger Bland. I was hunting my other female in the NT CH class and Roger handled Amber for me. That's twice now, her first hunt to a first place win and this one. I might have to buy him a steak dinner. It was a good night as my NT CH female also got a win, made for a good week end, Jim.

I really like the sounds of Amber! Her sire is at the top of the list of the best hounds I've had the chance to see turned loose. Bozo would tree a pile of coon and do it in style. Fast isn't even close to describing Bo. Congrats on finishing her out!

Preston

I sent you that video so you could hear how loud she is, she doesn't bark real hard kind of paces herself but she is loud.
She also seems to have plenty of speed on a hot track, but she will grub a bad one out, doesn't bark much on them but covers ground. The 8 got her on one track and she lost 50 but went on to finish the track and treed it.
Guess you can tell I'm very proud of her !!!

It gets me really wound up hearing that dog treed! She has that classic Banjo mouth! I know you like her a lot, I just wish there were a couple hundred of those kinda dogs with that mouth out there!

Congratulations Jim!

There are a bunch of “Banjo” fans out there that are really rooting for you and Amber… The great Herb Vaughn and his disciples are a fine group of men.

Paul Gingerich wanted me to let you know that he is super happy for you and hopes you enjoy as many nights with Amber as he did with ole’ Bo.

I believe Jenny is bred and has started showing signs that July 4th is a hot, long way off for her.

Hope you folks have continued success!

Big Mark
