Johnson County Coon Club. Holden, Mo. HTX Hunts.

The Johnson County Coon Club will be holding HTX Hunts this summer. Right now we have 3 scheduled.

This will be the first HTX hunt in our area, I encourage everyone attending to go through and read the HTX section of the board. The rules are simple, tree a coon in under an hour with no more than 2 faults. We should have plenty of local guides and judges. There is good hunting and plenty of coon in our area.

May 18, 2013. (Saturday)
8:00 pm. $10 Entry Fee

June 29, 2013. (Saturday)
8:00 pm. $10 Entry Fee

July 20, 2013. (Saturday)
8:00 pm. $10 Entry Fee

The club is located on 58hwy, 1 mile east of 131hwy in Holden, Mo.

HTX Hunt

These hunts will appeal to every kind of hunter. You go at your own pace. Just you and your hound. Garmin tracking collars are ALLOWED and can be turned on.

3 successful passes and your hound receives an HTX title. Complete 3 more and your hound receives a HTX2 title and so on.

What's it all about?

A HTX title proves your hound can tree it's own coon, in under a hour with almost no faults. That your hound can get out there and do it right and end up under the coon.

Any registered hound is eligible to hunt. Great way to prove that show dog can get it done. Puts the icing on the cake for you Grandnites. Don't like comp hunting or just cannt anymore, well this is for you.

HTX are youth hunter friendly

Yes. In fact they are perfect for young hunters. They can make noise, shine the tree and keep up. This is something they can take a active roll in while out on a coon hunt with a score card.

My son is a hyper 6 year old, I would have no problem bringing him to a HTX hunt.

These are the first three voted on and approved by the club members. If everything goes good we will make these hunts part of our regular schedule with more to come.
We have plenty of support from the club members to hold these, so guides and judges shouldn't be a problem. We encourage everyone to come down and let their hound do the talking. HTX!!!
