I spent the money a few years ago when the P90X was the big thing. I brought it home, popped it in and did the workout. I am a mailman, and the following day I was walking across a driveway and went to step over a snow bank, I tripped a bit and fell flat on my face. I didn't land face first because I was surprised by the fall, I landed face first cause I could not lift my arms to break my fall. I laid in the snow face down for a good 5 minutes. I had to roll to my back and slowllllllllly sit up. I have not attempted it since. It sits on the shelf taunting me daily...you will not get me again Mr. P90X..no sir, you will sit safely on the shelf where you cannot hurt me!

Insanity

If you just started it just wait til the 2nd month. Super intense!! Got me in great shape but as far as the six pack chiseled abs I never saw them. I'm 6'4 weigh 180 so I was expecting to see some ab results. Without a doubt will get you into the best shape of your life tho. It's very addicting tho, I actually looked forward to it after work.

I wrestled In high school and tried to stay in decent shape. P90X was rough but I got through it. I have two brothers and a cousin that are professional fighters and man do the have so absolute crazy workouts. I tried to tag along and go through some, but when then went running with snorkel mask with drinking straws taped to the top of the breathing tube I figured it was time for me to quit, lol. I'll stick to chasin dogs through woods in the dark, takes a real tough feller to do that.

Like we talked at Flora....stay the course!!! Consistency is the key to any successful program. I've worked out all my life. Mostly in the weight room and hitting the pavement. Now, that I'm pushing 60 I've revamped my workout routine to a rigid 30-40 minute calesthenic program and a five mile power walk. I'm not 220lbs anymore. I'm sitting around 205. You can relate to this Sean...I'm back to combat weight!!! I'm closer to a sixpack than I've ever been. (I call it four 12 ouncers and two 16 ouncers ) Throw in the coonhunting 3-6 nights and it's keeping a lean mean fighting machine!!!

Almost forgot to add....now, put that old anchor cranking, jarhead Navy Combat Medic attitude back on and get with the program!!!

No PX90 for me I made a life decision years ago to stay on course. I will not be like the majority of Americans. Though I loved your fried fish the only other fried foods I ate just about all year are the dry land fish. I am 165 I could probably stand to be 160 on my 5' 8" frame.
I guess you just have to ask yourself do you like being over weight and do you like to EAT because I am here to tell you all the workouts in the world wont work if you don't have the right eating habits.
Cardio cardio cardio added with some lifting carried over a period of time will do much much more for you than 2 or 3 months of a fad training course. Would you like my assistance? Randy might kill you hes much older than I and he might be in better shape

I worked out for years. I worked out for endurance and wasn't too worried about strength training. I love riding a bike. Running not so much ... there are only 2 reasons to run ... large carnivores and the police.

I just got back from the doctor's office for my 3 month check up. That dang doctor wants me to start taking more pills. My risk factor is up slightly. She just doesn't get it that when it is quiet time I put on a couple of pounds and my risk factor raise slightly. It happens every year.

I am bad because I have the following in my basement: a heavy bag, a speed bag, a total gym, 2 weight benches with free weights, a nordic track, life cycle, and a treadmill.

My problem is time. That is why coon hunting works so well for me ... who needs sleep?

Tracy,

We could always get you the life alert if you start that exercise program ... I have fallen and can't get up.

i'm a handy man and do a lot of manual labor but when i have no work i use a tread mill. i'm 5'6" and weigh 155 and so far all my number are good. i eat right and my wife loves to cook with our health in mind. i too get a good bit of exercise from hunting. i plan to stay in shape for the duration. my dad lived to be 87 and he didn't eat right or exercise so i think i should make 100, GOD willing.

I climb trees and carry chunks of wood at work and run saws all day and coonhunt at night.I hold in there at 5 ft 8 and 226 pnds. I dont gain a pound and dont loose a pound. My favorite hobby is eating ,good country cooking.I do wish i weighed 200 pnds even, but with work and the dogs, the thought of a gym is awfull.lol
