garmin alpha vs garmin 320-220

i'm thinking about buying a Garmin before the next season starts up. i haven't got to mess with the alpha at all was just wondering what people thought about the new unit. is it worth the money and will it last i am leary about the big screen breaking. i am leaning more towards the the alpha for the simple fact i don't own a shock collar of my own.would like to hear what people using them have to say.

I haven't had any problems with the Alpha.

Aside from the e-collar part, I think the biggest difference is in reliability. The TT10 collars are far better and more reliable than the DC collars. We have two Alphas and 3 TT10 collars that all get used an average of 5 nights a week, had them since the Alphas first came out and nothing has failed in any way so far.

I love my 320 I wouldn't have the alpha not saying its not reliable or anything but its a touch screen. youre in the woods, in the swamp, getting dirty you get dirt on your hands and start touching and dragging things on the screen youre scratching it up. plus I just like the buttons v. the touch screen. and you cant use the dc40 or dc30 collars i think thats where garmin really messed up. plus if its cold and you have gloves on its going to be hard to use the alpha.

I was wondering how it worked with gloves on. but i also like the idea of have the e-collar and gps all in one unit. anyone have any complaints with the 220 or 320 units and what is the best collars to pair with them

My Alpha works fine with gloves. I have found no downside to it yet.

alpha vs 320?

only thing about alpha is "if" and when something goes bad....your out the entire system until you get it back from garmin.
hunted with guy that had 1.range wasn't any better than my 320 with dc30 collars.
