i had 2 pups 1f1m out of congers lawtoo(direct off house lawyer) and 2 different females(also house bred) do it at 4-6 months old
had a male(joe) off that female pup that did it all at 7 months old
had a female off joe that never seen the woods till she was 8 yrs old and did it like she was hunting all her life..have a 1yr old f.pup off that female and a house male that was baying squirrells from her pen at 4-5 months old.

have a litter of pups off hawk(son of joe x bozo female) that were baying and trying to rip a coonhide apart at 5 weeks old,,when showed a fresh killed possum didnt want nothing to do with it. but went ape when the coonhide was tossed back into the pen..

i think i may have the coondog dna in the right places now.

I had a pup off Beaver Lake Lightning that ran "something" ( checked her with the old dog) for a short ways her first night out at 4 1/2 months.
Started running coon at 5 months , treeing at 6 , and split , with a coon , at 7 months.
