"horny" weekend with family and friends...

saturday morning headed out well before sun up west for a weekend of hound dogging and antler shed hunting..... well weather sucked! LOL. saturday was able to make two freecasts with my buddies 4 cur dogs and i took minn, trix, weezer, and toby. we had figured on hunting sat morn, sat nite, and sunday. the blizzard ruined that!

the first freecast all the dogs hunted area out well, minn and trix musta went right direction and hit a crap track and moved it real deep couple miles in and treed in the rain. after accounting for all the other dogs making sure they were in safe areas and getting my family and friends moved as close as possible me and a buddies son headed towards dog. getting close we thought for a minute had bobber treed as old coon was white and yellow but after cleaning my glasses seen the tail. LOL. was treed in one of few hardwoods in cedar thicket at top of canyon. was good for the 2 old girls to stay treed dang near 2 hours. they were cranked up and never slowed down abit. awesome hearing dogs roar that far away and so long. my little boy just laughed and pointed when had him out of truck.

next freecast was after noon and starting to freezing rain and snow then turned to blowing snow with nothing going.

was a blast having my family along in the middle of nowhere! my buddies from out of town shed hunted while we were chasing dogs and found a pile. them boys musta put on 20 miles looking around! we also helped some looking for sheds but honestly isnt my thing. LOL.

took some nice pics of the country, the antler sheds, and the old rutting boar girls put the smack down on! wish i could move out that way! hardly any people and fewer towns.

when your plumb dumb you gotta be tough!!! LOL. very good day for all the dogs getting some miles on and very happy with weezer pup not trashing out as she was on her own all day hunting her butt off. wish she woulda went down same canyon as the old girls but very cool she did her own thing on both casts. freecasting daytime in big country is a whole different world and is a ton of fun if your half crazy! LOL. i mix things up the way i hunt and because of that have had some hunts will never forget!

No, we had a really bad outbreak of EHD this year in Nebraska, and it literally killed thousands. There are dead deer laying all over the countryside.
