Got a dog given to me last week and the papers accidentally got thrown away and the guy never got around to getting them tranversed into his name so he has no way of getting any papers cause the dog wasn't in his name yet. Can a single register this dog and be able to put it in the registered hunts?? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you can single register the hound and once it is registered it can be hunted in the hunts!! Contact UKC and they will give you all the needed information.

it depends on what breed it is and if the books are open for that breed... my understanding is a bluetick cannot be single registered if you know both parents and it was a planned breeding.... very foolish if you ask me but the way i understand it

Mines a walker gyp around 2 years old but I don't know the sire or dams name I don't even know what the name on her old papers were. But I'm gonna try the single register thing.
