Because it's cheap. Relatively speaking. And I would say more people own a gun that shoots 22LR than any other caliber.

a guy today that said he had bought 60 550 round boxes. I would say that is why. How many people have been stocking up on them? I have 3500 rounds that I bought when I saw the shortage starting. I wish I could find more too.

do you suppose the bullet makers are working "round the clock" to catch up with demand? in normal business this would be a boom for business. i hope it is and i look foreword to them shipping a truck load to NC.

Had a shipment Thursday at 9 and was sold out by 11:00. Nobody in our part of the country is getting any 22 shells to speak of. Our local stores say in 3 to 4 months it will be normal again.
