I believe this is the new 17. It's a 22 hornet shell necked down to a 17. I was in a gun shop the other day looking at a 22 mag. The owner was telling me I should look at this . 3000 ft. per second. It's hard for me to believe accuracy with 20 grains at this speed, but time will tell. I like the 22 mag for shots up to 100 -125 yards. Any longer then that I'd still want 223-243. But that's me.

In Michigan we are limited to rimfire rifles or <4 buckshot at night.
