I WOULD TRY BLAKE JONES. HE IS ON HERE A GOOD BIT AND LIVES OVER THAT WAY. HE MAY NOT BE WHO YOU NEED BUT MIGHT COULD SEND YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

Only pup I have had for sale just sold about a month ago. there is a young man up towards mantachie I believe that may have had some pups. I believe he goes by sfwalkers on here. I think he owns a hound named bocephus that he seems to be really proud of if that helps you any. If I knew what the pup was out of it might help track somebody down.

how about a guy named

michael pierce? He lives close to the trace nd 371. My cousin knows him. He has a pup he got from michael that is about 9 months old. My cousins numbe is 662-401-0412 his name is robert ellis and michael was real proud of the daddy of the pups he just sold for $2500. so maybe that will help.
I dont have michaels number but my cousin might.

the only ones I can think of in that area would be a dunaway or a tutor. dunaway lives in a brick house close to the old cotton gin. You did not happen to see a plywood cutout of a walker and B&T treeing a coon on a mailbox close to his house did you?

i have a 6 year old hound out of bark. if you keep him trim and in shape he does a pretty good job. If he gets a little weight on him he will get a little tree happy. guess he don't like to run that far when he is fat. He is a good lookin hound and got a good strong tenor voice. also have a young female out of trackman and wimp arons queen X female. she does ok but needs a good bit more time in the woods. for some reason we just seem to get along good.
What are the rest of you hunting?

well right now i got the one treeing walker. i just sttarted her a few weeks ago. she seems to be doing good really barking up a caged coon but i have only worked her on it a couple times. she has been kept up in a pen alot due to living on the highway and sshe has lots of energy when she first comes out of the pen but if i exercise her or let her run around awhile then she seems to foucus on the coon and does not get distracted easily. i will start making her look for the coon with her nose a little more this week. if i get another coon.

i am also getting a lepard coonhoun pup next month from ken clark. i am pretty new to this sport so if there are any tips yaw have on training i would love to here them. also im not gonna have consistent access to a good hound to hunt her with so anything yaw know about hunting a pup by herself would help.

I HAVE A SEMI RETIRED 6 YEAR OLD OUT OF WESLEY WILLARDS LOUIE LOUIE AND A FEMALE NAMED SUZY Q. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LITTLE TREE HAPPY BUT DID WIN 7 CAST IN A ROW WITH HIM BACK IN 09. HE NOW LIVES IN THE HOUSE. THEN I HAVE WHAT I THINK MIGHT BE ONE OF THE BEST I WILL EVER OWN. SHE IS A TWO YEAR OLD OUT OF FLETCHER'S JAKE AND COMA'S QUEEN AND LIKES TO BE ALONE. IF YOU DON'T SEE THE COON YOU MOST ALWAYS CAN FIND A DEN OR NEST OF SOME KIND. SHE IS A FIRST OR SECOND STRIKER IN COMPANY AND GETS ALONE. SHE WAS RUNNING LOOSE AT MR WIMP'S PLACE WHEN I BOUGHT HER.

I WOULD NOT GET THE OTHER PUP UNLESS I HAD ALOT OF TIME ON MY HANDS JMO. WHEN THE OTHER PUP KNOWS WHAT A COON IS. I WOULD NOT HUNT IT WITH NOTHING ELSE UNTIL HE IS GOING AT HIS BEST. HUNTING A PUP WITH ANOTHER DOG TEACHES IT NOTHING. IT ONLY GIVES THE DOG A CHANCE TO BE EXPOSED TO COON AND NOTHING ELSE. THEY ARE BREED TO TRACK AND TREE AND THAT PART THEY CAN ONLY DO BY THEMSELF.

I am no trainer by a long shot but I would kind of agree with greg. I saw where you had access to a good hound to help out with your pup. for some reason when you hunt 2 pups and a good hound together the hound goes one way hunting and the pups go the other way playing with each other.
I have my 6 year old, a young female and did have her littermate. there was just not enough time to hunt all three and do them justice.

thats kinda what i thought that if she has it then she should be able to start tracking and treeing on her own without the help of another trained dog. the pup im getting is just a few weeks old now and i hope to have this one started pretty well by this jan or feb and will start this pup then. but i do have alot of time. i work as a paramedic and oly work two days a week so i think i can give them both plenty of woods time when i am hunting both next year. i am a little uncertain about how and when to start her in the woods. like if she dont want to go out away from me im thinking about just walking with her and letting her hunt close untill she knows what she is doing. what yaw think.

I WOULD PUT SOME FEEDERS OUT AND WALK THE PUP BY THEM. WHEN THE PUP FIGURES IT OUT START HUNTING IN A SPOT WITHOUT FEEDERS. IT DOESN'T HURT A THING BY WALKING WITH THEM. IF YOU HAVE HOGS PUT THEM UP OFF THE GROUND WHERE THEY CAN'T REACH THEM.
