Garmin help ?

Works fine at the beginning of the hunt, but if I hunt very long , it will track a dog, lets say 300 yds, and it seems to get stuck at that reading. Even when I go to a tree, or the dog is standing right next to me, it still reads 300 yds. It will not update.

Make sure it is not in battery saver mode. Just had one that done the same thing and that was the problem.

Just what exactly does battery save mode do? Obviously supposed to save battery... but doesnt seem to do any of the things I would expect to save the battery like - dim screen, turn back light out sooner than its set to, change frequency of updates etc.... I just dont notice any difference one way or the other?

I can't tell that it does anything except make your receiver inoperable.
It should shut every non essential function down while activated to give you maybe 10% more battery life. It is useless as far as I can tell.

Track log showed 99 percent. I cleared it so I bet that fixed it. If I turn the track log off will it still show track log while I'm hunting , but just won't save it ?

Tried it tonight with no problem. I wish I could turn most of that stuff off. All I need it to do is point the way, and tell me how far!!! I guess they never heard " less is better''
