This is a call to action. The BSA has been under assault by big gay for a long time because the BSA won't allow homos into troop leadership roles. Now the BSA has launced a trial ballon by saying that they are considering changing their stand and allowing homos into the leader. They want to assess our reaction to that proposal. You can tell them what you think of the proposed change. They seek our input. I encourage you to call: 972 580 2000, ask for opinion poll, you'll be transfered to someone who will ask you, Are you for or against the change. You should answer "against". You are finished. I called them on my house phone, my cell, my wifes cell and my sons cell. You can do the same. You should also ask your friends to call them. I garranttee you the homos are calling. Ask yourself, would you allow a homo scout leader to take your son on a hike or camping trip or some othe excursion. It's no different than allowing men to take girls on camping or hiking trips. You know what would happen.

i had hoped for a lot more response. i should have known better. after going door to door looking for people to join the tea party and americans for prosperity, i learned how apathatic the general population is.

Scouts is a great organization. If you are worried about your son, join and help out. They have several saftey nets to make sure the boys are safe. One is two deep leadership, two trained leaders must be present all the time and no adult can be alone with a child.
If you track boys who where in Scouts you will find latter in life tWhat happens to a Scout? For every 100 boys who join Scouting, records indicate that:
•RARELY will one be brought before the juvenile court system
•2 will become Eagle Scouts
•17 will become future Scout volunteers
•12 will have their first contact with a church
•1 will enter the clergy
•5 will earn their church award
•18 will develop a hobby that will last through their adult life
•8 will enter a vocation that was learned through the merit badge system
•1 will use his Scouting skills to save his own life
•1 will use his Scouting skills to save the life of another person

Scouting's alumni record is equally impressive. A recent nation- wide survey of high schools revealed the following information:
•85% of student council presidents were Scouts
•89% of senior class presidents were Scouts
•80% of junior class presidents were Scouts
•75% of school publication editors were Scouts
•71% of football captains were Scouts

Scouts also account for:
•64% of Air Force Academy graduates
•68% of West Point graduates
•70% of Annapolis graduates
•72% of Rhodes Scholars
•85% of F.B.I. agents
•26 of the first 29 astronauts

Note: Since this was written the percentage of Eagle Scouts has climbed to nearly 4%. The Eagle Scout Service in 1997 announced that the figure was
