The majority I've seen were rough with weak mouths.

I had a female that was as nice a hound that I ever owned . Nothing rough about her and had a very good mouth. She is no push over, she'll be there when you get there.

i think sometimes when people hunt a female with two males and one gets blamed for being mean its just the male doing what males do we love women one dog was just showing her look here darlen im the alpha dog you want me i whooped him on the other hand some dogs are just mean by how they came up haven to fight with their litter mates for a tit or over the dog bowl etc then you have the ONES! haha i want own a dog that gets ran off the tree though dont want a gator but i want one that will hold his own.

I know some dogs are a little mean when a coon hits the ground easy to handel tie it up I'm sure he don't throw any more than any other dog this gyp was like this from the first coon she ever saw no matter if it were male dogs or females she would let a coon get away trying to whip all the dogs she was never around a agressive dog just in her nature one thing everyone seems to forget is the female a pup gets as much or more from their momma I'm not saying that elvis put this trait in this gyp i would have keep her if she would have treed

Your not going to win many major hunts with a wimpy dog. Which one is classified mean, the one that starts it or the one that finishes it?

IF judges would write up the ALIGATORS and get them out of the hunts we wouldn't have to worry about that would we?

Not trying to get in the middle or anything, but don't forget elvis didn't produce those offspring by himself. The mama could have had some to do with it too. Maybe post how the mama is bred and might be able to see if any of the bloodlines are similar.

You are right to some degree but look at the people on here and read what they said. Several different posts, different states, (dogs out of different females) same result! Not rocket science! Just for the record...never hunted with Elvis or any offspring and could Careless what he reproduces! Now if that dog shows up on my door step dressed in a hat and Toteing a gun (like the pics in his stud add) I'd be concerned!

If I was to smack you up the side of the head ,would you walk away or stand your ground? My guess 99% of the people would stand thier ground but expect dogs to walk away. You keep thinking the way you do and you'll waste alot of money at the major hunts. I use to think like you and got no where but did have alot of vet bills. I refuse to be beat in a hunt that way again. Mine better be where I tree them regardless when i arrive or somebody else will be feeding them.

8 out 10 dogs today are lucky to be 50 % accurate regardless what stud they are out of so what you are saying don't really mean alot.

I've never owned a dog that is less than 50% accurate and if they are 90% (or close) they didnt stay (which I've sold less than 4 dogs), so what your saying really doesn't mean a lot, 8/10 are less than 50% accurate? hmmm you must hunt with a lot of tree treers instead of coon dogs

Your exactly right. I never knew what a slick tree was until I moved from Wisconsin to Ohio. It's a bad fault and people seem to be reluctant to correct it. As long as they breed according to titles and not from individual preformance, this will never be fixed. For you not to think this problem exists means you must not get away from the cabin much. Accurrate dogs are rare as hens teeth around here. 90% lmao, you'll be laughed off this board I'm afraid. Maybe in a fantasy world.

I'm still going to get me a brindle PITT bull and reg as a Plott. I don't care if he can tree a coon (most of the one s you draw at a hunt can't either) just so he can clear out a tree. Heck, I can light break him so you can't catch him fighting. Don't matter what you hear! I'll name him Tigator!!!! Is Elvis Attack mean? Don't know but with Tigator in the cast...Elvis will leave the building....
