with all the violence, has it always been as bad, or is it with the vast ways of communication nowdays that it makes the news? did taking the ole paddling of kids at school and home start this crap? I remember if i got in trouble at school or a friends house or anywhere for that matter i got my butt tanned and when i got home i got it again but worse!!! if you had differences with someone at school you had a fist fight, no knives, no guns, no gang banging, and it was over when someone said they had enough!!! when it was over it was done, no revenge. these stupid reality shows sure don't help, if nothing else they seem to encourage kids to act like idiots and have no responsibilities for their actions, most tv shows anymore have no morals or lessons in life! Most lead kids to believe that just party and act like idiots! some of the fault also lies in the fact most families both parents have to work therefore kids run more ragged! the list goes on & on!!!!

Its very sad. Dont know the reasons or the answers, I do believe it lies in what you are saying. Ive had guns since I was young and the thought of hurting someone has never crossed my mind. These video games, TV shows, and movies are not helping things at all.

Cain slew Able, and it ain't let up since. Mass media is part of the problem. Glad we were raised without a tv, and still watch very, very little to this day. At least with the net I get to chose those things that intrest me.

I SEE THE MAIN CULPRIT IN THIS ERA IS $MONEY. IT DRIVES EVERYTHING. WHETHER IT'S THE LAME STREAM MEDIA OR THE TELEVISION. WHY DO THEY TRACK VEIWERS OF SUCH AND SUCH A SHOW.? WHY DO THE NEWSPAPWES TRACK CIRCULATION? BECAUSE THEY NEED TO SATISFY THEIR ADVERTISERS. YOU KNOW, THE ONES THAT PAY THE BILLS. THEY SENSATIONALIZE EVERYTHING THEY REPORT ON. WHY ? TO SELL IT, WHETHER OVER THE AIR OR IN THE NEWSPAPERS. DID YOU EVER HEAR EITHER ONE SAY,"WELL NO ONE GOT MUGGED TODAY OR WHATEVER. THEY JUST PUBLICIZE NEGATIVES. NOTHING POSITIVE. If you want your children to learn about God, don't leave it up to someone else to teach them about God. Nothing stops kids from praying on their own at school, other than not knowing how. They can't keep God out of schools if he's put in a backpack and taken there every day.
