alpha

what is the actual ruling on the alpha as far as nitght huntes go. the way i am understanding is you can leave the handheld part in your truck just cant carry it with you in a cast.

also heard pkc is allowing people to carry as long as the prongs are out and the handheld is turned off except for timeouts. any truth to this or is this all rumors.

UKC you can't carry it with you, it must stay in the truck.

In PKC you can carry it as is without removing the prongs.

I just used mine for the first time last night, my buddy used his for the second time. Both systems repeatedly shut off numerous times for no reason. My LED light messes with the alpha more than my 220, and it does not track any better than the 220 with DC30's. When it does work it's a nice set up, but its definitely not $800 dollars nice.

Not sure but my K-Light G2 does the same thing when using the tone or shock. I just turn my light off when shocking or toning now.

Overall I like my Alpha a ton better than the Astro. My Astro 220 and DC-30's got better distance than anyone around here and better than what I read about people getting on here and my Alpha still blows it away.

The touchscreen is so much easier to use and being able to recharge instead of buying and packing extra batteries all the time has saved me a ton of time and money already.

The range that I am able to tone or shock a dog is way better than any unit I have ever used.

Try running it without any other collars. Or turn the charging contact away from the other collars. Another option is electrical tape over the charging contacts.

no the alpha is not compatible with dc 30 or dc 40. i like the alpha alot better than my astro 320 i had. the only downfall is you cant carry it on you in a ukc nite hunt. hopefully they change that soon
