What in the world do people see in Geno Smith?

I see him projected in the top 3 of all the mock drafts. Other than two games early in the year I don't know if I've seen him have a solid outing since. What am I missing?

I'm an old Mountaineer fan for like 50plus years and todays game was sorriest game I've ever seen from them. Geno is better than what you saw today by a long shot,,no defense what so ever all year long and now they have to rebuild the offense next year to boot ,,,lol It will be very interesting for sure now that they are in the Big 12 ,,interesting ,,lol

GENO

BEING FROM W.V., I'LL PROBABLY GET LIT-UP, BUT HERE GOES WITH MY THOUGHTS. WELL' GENO DOES A DECENT JOB, IF, THE "O" LINE CAN GIVE HIM PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE HIS READS. AGAINST SO-SO TEAMS, HE CAN REALLY LIGHT THEM UP. WITH THE RECIEVERS HE HAD TO THROW TO, IS WHY I THINK HE GOT THE PRESS HE DID. AGAINST TEAMS THAT "BLITZ" ALOT, ONCE THEY "POP" HIM, HE GETS GUN SHY. HE WONT MAKE HIS READS, GETS RID OF THE BALL WAY TO EARLY. FANS HAD BIG HOPES WHEN WVU MOVED TO THE BIG TWELVE, BUT THEY FADED FAST, AS YOU CAN SEE, WVU PROBABLY WOULD'VE AT LEAST BEEN CO-CHAMPIONS OF THE BIG LEAST, BY THE WAY, THATS WHERE I THINK THEY OUGHT TO BE PLAYING. WVU NEEDS TO GET BACK UP ON THE PORCH!

I agree somewhat , he had real good receivers to throw to . For some reason they thought they where gonna run the ball all over syracuse when they didn't have a running game practically all year . I think geno is a solid quarter back , his stats prove that , but I personally think he stands in the pocket holding the ball to long , no excuse whatsoever to get 2 safety's in one game ! He has open field in front of him and he'll not move a inch and need 4 yards for a first down , that's my biggest fault with him . The reason geno has a lot of hype is the fact of he hardly never throws a int or incomplete pass . Toook him 7 games into the season before he threw a int . I just hope he don't plan a long nfl career I think he goona end up with a struggling team like Arizona , Kansas city that needs a quarter back and their goona get him hurt n banged up , he'll be lucky to see 6 or 7 seasons .

I agree wholeheartedly 'bout the gun shy part.Reminds me of Tony Romo. You put him under pressure,he just can't stand it.I loved that Redskins/Cowboys game last night.Redskins Defensive Coordinator,Jim Hazlett, gave the reigns to linebacker London Fletcher. And they blitzed Tony quite a few times. You couldn't see it,but Romo(Iknow) was trembling like a cat shittin' peach pits.He was intercepted 3 times because of the pressure.Geno acts the same way.HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!

its a qb driven league, and this is a piss poor qb class, so you are going to have qbs taken at the top of the draft and he is arguably one of the top 2-3 qbs in the nation that are coming out.

I AGREE HE'S JUST AS GOOD AS ANY OTHER QB THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE. I'LL BE WATCHING TO SEE WHEN AND WHERE HE GOES. NOW, TAVON, STEDMAN, ARE A DIFFERENT BREED. I'D SAY BAILEY WILL GO HIGHER THAN GENO???
