One heck of a night...
Me and the lovley lady went on a pleasure hunt tonight... As the moon was getting brighter for what had seemed by the second. We was having a pretty good night ... After the second drop which didn't seem to long since we had just turned loose. I get back to the truck she is all curled up covered up with a blanket a lying ona big fluffy pillow sound asleep... I click on the clock on my dash to see what time it was... And it is 12:38am I scratched my head and I think dang I knew we had kinda got off to a late start but I guess time flies when your having fun.. Well I had promissed her that I wouldn't keep her out to late since she has to get at 6am and go to work... So being the gentleman that I am. I very quietly trying not to awake her. I told myself Well I better get her home because if I keep her out to late she'll never go with me again... So I proceed to turn around and back out thru the gate as I make it back to the payved road.. She woke up... Right off the bat I start saying How sorry I am for keeping her out late with me knowing that we are still 40 mins away from home.... She just laughed at me... I said what so funny? She said Honey its not really that late while you were at the tree I went ahead and changed your clock forward an hour... I said oh okay... To myself I am thinking man I could have made another drop and bout that time...... The night gets really starts to get very interesting....
As I was turning off of US RT 60 west to merge on to the on ramp of US RT 19 south I caught a glimpse of Ol' George Jones on the side of the road... As I passed him I felt a thump come from under my R/R wheel.... I thought OMG!!! I think I just ran over George Jones... So I slammed on the brakes nearly throwing the dog box thru the back glass and the love of my life thru the front windshield... She said your crazy I said I am serious.. So up the burm I go backwards as fast as I can and as we both get out to look... She screams OMG!!! You did she starts going crazy OMG!! We are both going to jail... I said now honey calm down we'll figure this out.. She is like how... I said I don't know yet... So we just stood there looking... I will just through him in the back and dump off some where away from the road... OMG!! She says we can't do that I said you got any other suggestions?
SO I tossed Ol' George in the back of the truck nearly scaring my hounds to death... As we were driving down US RT19 South she says well I guess if your gonna through him off some where why don't you just through him off of the New River Gorge Bridge and maybe no one will ever know... But me I am thinking totally different.. Do you realize what we could get out of this? She says yes life in the pen... I said no listen to me a minute... Doesn't Go-Mart specialize in ROAD KILL CAFE' products.. She said I think so... I said well I know the guy that owns the one up here next to the house I will stop by and see what he will offer us for him... She said you are totally NUTZ!!! I said no I am serious we could make MILLIONS I will just ask for a percentage off of the sells that he makes.. People will be coming from every where to buy a can George Jones..
As we were are approaching the Go-Mart I start slowing down and she says your serious I said yes.. She says take me home first.. I said Honey I know the guy it will be fine... I said I will even park around back... It'll only take a second I promise... So I do so.. I run in the back door and sure enough the owner is there and I tell him what I got and he thinks I have totally lost my mind or something...I said come on out and look he is in the back of my truck... He says OMG!!! You serious I said yes... He come out and he says that not George Jones that's a opossum... I said no it's not... He says yes it is I said Honey grab me the George Jones CD out of the glovebox. She does and I said look at his picture. Now don't look like what I have lying there in the back of my truck.. I said now he looked exactly like that when I picked him up off the road... He says OMG!!! It is....George Jones...
Now you must admit after looking at this you half to agree with me.... LOl...
