I've learned first hand it can be a tuff sell. Want to get them out this way too. Don't know why it isn't more popular.

From what I've seen a lot of hunters don't understand what it is or why they should have one. Another obstacle is the way they are conducted. You need a non- hunting judge for every dog being hunted.

Not for sure if you can send two guys out and have them judge each others dogs. One then the other. If you could that would get me over the biggest hurdle.

Someone with a HTX title could you please explain, I've read up on it, but still unsure about the finer details.

No, you can not judge the dog of someone who just judged you. It's alot of fun and the pass rate is usually about 3 in 10, and thats with good dogs.

Our club has one scheduled for 24 Nov. East Carolina Coon Hunters Assoc., Vanceboro, NC.

i know one of the problems up here at the one club is getting enough people to stick around to judge...alot of people will hunt their hour out go back to club or just leave from where ever...iv only been to two of them...had a dog i knew pretty well and the kid that had him before me already put one pass on him..i took him for the second two and just wasnt able to make it to any more of them...so idk exactly what is all needed but having enough judges will deffinatly help
