I'm not bald but i had an older bump cap that had a liner that buttoned in, it was long on the back and sides to cover your ears too. I'm sure someone has to make them still.

Military Helmet Liner. They worked back when I used to duck hunt and run a boat in the darkness. Covered up my ears and beard as well. Sorry about yore hair I still got mine and all other parts still functioning fine 'cep I can't hear coons getting chased and tippy toeing around in the cattails.

LOL...

... well I 'm a VERY long andthick haired woman BUT.... Bob shaves his head and a Do Rag(for under motorcycle helmet) works all yr long....and you can add a neoprene in winter!! any local bike shop will have stuff...and may be cheaper than hunting supply stores...at least in New England that is ture!

ME? lol... My hair is so thick I get TOO hot! lol....

I'm not bald, I just grew taller than my hair!

I used to buy the button in liners that Nite Lite sold (which worked well enough) but sometimes I found that I didn't need it and then it was kind of a pain to take it out. Now I just wear a cheap single layer stocking cap that you can often buy for a buck or two. Same principal as a skull cap, just a whole lot cheaper.
