I prefer the Sunfire myself. I couldn't get used to not having a more direct beam of light in one area with the Sunspot. The Sunfire has that bright center beam, it's not too tight, but it still has plenty of other light around the main beam for walking or catching coon eyes. When I cover the Sunfire's headpiece with an amber lense, it gives a very similar affect to the old 5100 heads and spotlights from the older bulbs, just perfectly round. The other LED heads I had would give off the same color as a bulbed light but because of the pop cover, they wouldn't be as bright. With the Sunfire being so bright, even when it is covered with the amber lense, it is as bright as my buddies spotlight on his 21 volt belt light.

I only have the sunspot. Can't imagine hunting without it.

Sunspot VS SUnfire

I have owned both. I really liked the Sunspot light better because it threw out a wider beam. The Sunfire is a very bright light but I just prefer a wider flood.
