Mearicle solution for hotspots

Went to their website and it looks like it is mainly for ears but has anyone ever used it on hotspots or problems with their dogs skin? My pittbull has a large inflamed area by his groin that is getting worse. It's really red and tender, would this work for something like that?

i'm not sure. but what brand of food are you feeding him? our golden retriver had hot spots and we had to change her dog food. they can get a grain allergies, and that gives them hot spots so now we feed taste of the wild. it's expensive but we only feed two cups twice a day. you could also use veterycin wound and infection spray. you can buy it at most farm stores. i use it on pretty much everything thats wound related.

He's on Diamond naturals- he's been on that for 3+ years...i think where this started from is he got some irritation from fly bits or jigger bites 3 weeks ago and its gotten infected as it has spread. Just wondering if i should try the mearicle before i take him to the vet?
