Mean Walkers

Are there any stud dogs out there that seem to be throwing mean dogs? Or any dogs of the past that seemed to put aggression in their pups? I am trying to mix my kennel up, and dont want to end up with something that may have the potential to be aggresive.I wont tollerate it.. I know any dog could have the potential to be mean, but Im talking about hounds that just seemed to throw mean ones consistantly. I have pretty much been hunting finley river bred hounds since I started hunting, but like I said, Im wanting to try some new things, and blood lines(never had a bit of trouble with them) . But want to know what to stay away from. Im sure some people wont want to touch this thread with a 10 foot pole..lol..PM me if you dont want to post it in public.

If you say you have been hunting predominately Finley River then you know those dogs won't take too much crap from another dog acting up at the tree. I haven't hunted enough directly out of the current studs to be an authority on the subject. Good luck in finding out the truth... I'm curious too!

Well I typically hunt by myself, so i hunt my dogs alone, or with another one of my dogs. I have just never had any problems at all, I have never seen anything mean out of any of my dogs, so I dont know what they would do to be honest. My female got face barked one time by another dog of a guy I know, and she just kept on treeing, acted like she didnt even see it. All my dogs seem to be real laid back, they dont get excited about much, other than a coon, and fresh straw in their house..lol

I've hunted with them for 30 years and never saw one sit down and tree. Mine original dogs were directly out of Finley River Dan. The tree standing up Treeing all night long if need be. All I mean by my statement was that mine would just do their own thing but but if push come to shove they could hold their own.

Flag and Yadkin River have staying power from my experiance. You can take some of it out but you can't put it in them.
