Going to the World

To UKC: What would be wrong with putting a link to UKC that you have to get on and commit to actually going to the world or not?

If I was still competition hunting I would have loved to go to one of the Quartfinals maybe for fun, bragging rights, or just proving that my hound could compete. But, that does not mean that I have plans to go to the World Hunt.

If UKC would put the link up, they would be better accurately giving the final quota of dogs that are going. That does not mean take away the dogs that earned their place, it just means that UKC would know they have the right number of dogs there.

Roger, the Zones ARE the World Hunt.
Getting through the Zones and not going on to the Finals would be the exact equivalent of making it through the regionals of the NCAA basketball tournament and then saying " well, I think I'll skip the Finals, I just wanted to see if we could compete at the regional level".

I Agree

I do agree with you Jim, but are the ones that are in, just for instance, MI, MA,OH,NY,NC,SC, etc. Are they going to make the trip? That's what I was talking about. If UKC had an "ENROLLMENT" that you go on and register in only if you are going, it just seems like they could get a better count.

Uh, yeah, in fact about half of the dogs going to the Finals are from those states. Count'em up.

Your totally off the mark there. I know a lot of hunters that will go to their zone to help make a champion. Are you going on the record now and saying that everyone that got through their zone is going to LA?
