This Year's Project

Here is a video clip of this year's project.

No, she is not an English Super Stake pup, she is not even a hound, but with my health being what it is, she is just what I need. This is my 2nd hunt with her, she seems to be a natural. She started treeing on her own. You can hear me give her some encouragement but she was treeing on her own before I got there. The brush was too thick to find the squirrel, especially by myself. But, Goldie treed first and she usually has the meat. Chocolate Drop is a natural hard hunter also, so I may only need to put some meat down on her to have something. She does seem to want to open on a track, so if that continues, I may switch her to coon. I like my squirrel dogs silent. But, I have seen some start out opening on tracks and become silent. Chocolate Drop is a Kemmer bred Mt Cur that just turned 1 year old.
