I am kind of in the same boat as you, but I found that biggamehoundsmen.com had a wealth of information on hunting bobs. Their message board has a bobcat hunting section and there are a lot of seasoned hunters on there that can shoot you in the right direction.

I know that the bobcat population around Center was pretty good as some of my old cat hunting buddies drove up there to make a hunt back in the '70s. They left some mighty good country of South Texas to make the trip.
Adios,
Gary

I run cats in missouri. Its alot of work somedays but always worth it when you finally get one. Simetimes you get one but sometimes you will have a dry spell. But my dogs are definetly not the best. Anyways i really enjoy it. Good luck

I was catching a few bobcats around here with my blueticks on dry ground but I have run out of cats. Feline Lukemia and Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever seem to be the reasons for the reduction in populations.
Good luck and Adios,
Gary
