Winchells Jake

Anyone remember Winchells Jake, Treeing Walker owned by Howard Winchell of Rockford, MI, at that time? Jake placed 3rd at ACHA World Hunt in 1968, I believe that was the correct year? My question is: was Jake sired by Johnson's Banjo? And what was Jake's dam out of? I believe that Jake sired the dam of Rock River Ring,?

Winchells Jack

Thanks for replying. I saw Jake right after he placed in world hunt. I was just a freshman in high school. I never hunted with Howard, did hunt with Frank back when he still had Rock River Ring. My brother-in-law bred a female to Ring. My brother-in-law has hunted with both Frank and Howard some. Doug belongs to Millbrook club, I'll have him ask Howard or Frank next time he sees one of them.

He was sired by Banjo. His dam was Cox's Darby Creek Barb.

I have an old stud ad for him but I do not know how to post the ad. The ad says he finished 3rd in the 1968 World Hunt.

Jake did sire the Dam of Rock River Ring. Her name was Kruger's Lady. Merchant's Bawling Barney x Kruger's Lady

Thanks, that how I remember it. If you ever figure out how to post that ad, it would be pretty kool. At one time, I had the issue of Cooner that had that ad in it but doubt it is around anymore.
