Opinions on boots+chaps

Im going to finally break down and buy another pair of rubber boots. I got a high arch and walk up and down mtn's and rubber boots used to blister me up years ago. Not to mention hard to get on with my high arch.

But i was on a Bad hunt last night and had to drive 1 hour home with soaking wet snake boots and jeans up to my butt. So im in the market to find a really good pair of rubber boots with the wadder/snake chaps connected! Id like the boots to be comfortable and the wadder/chaps to be flexible and not as stiff as my regular snake chaps (which are very stiff). If that is possible.

so far my recommendations have been valley creek, dans grub stalking boots, and deer hunting buddy recommended UA boots but i dont know about chaps with those!

Whats your experience and opinions! Negetive and possitive opinions welcome; i dont want to buy a pair and hate them 2 weeks later.

Go to the Bargain Barn or somewhere that sells some of these rubber boots. Try em on to find the right size and which brand you like. Then call Redgy. He will fix you up. Don't know about the snake chaps. I don't use em.

Dan's can put chaps on about any boot you want. I think anything snake proof is going to be some what stiff. Conkey's can get you anything Dan's you want.

get over being overly afraid of snakes. they have no super powers. they can't bit through a typical rubber boot and with your pant leg on the outside, the space between the boot and your self you have nothing to worry about. get the boot you like and attach a light weight chap to it. i've been bitten countless times by snakes. a week ago i was bitten by a 42" water mocasin. the biggest mocasin i've ever seen. he hit the side of my boot and i felt the hit but he didn't come close to penetrating the boot and the boot is just about falling apart.

Valley creek with their heavy chap. it is snake proof, and attach it to a muck boot and you'll be set. Only problem is the Mucks don't last long at all under heavy hunting conditions.

Thanks,
Im going to tractor supply today hopefully, and try on a pair or two of boots. Then i believe im going to go with the grub boots with the 5 star chaps. But daaang if they aint expensive at $165 +shipping. I was thinking of more around 120ish. But if they last it may be worth it.

Guys, thanks for all the response. I went with the Super chap on the Muck boot. After looking around they are all really similar. I would have like to have gotten the new grub boot but its just to much money right now. Ill try it next time maybe.

Thank you
