Another good one gone.

I went to a show in Ft Scott KS last saturday. There was a relay-for-life banquite goin on in the same building.

A few minutes after I got there a young man came up to me with his hand out. I didnt recognise him at first, but it was Ricky Hall. Rick was the first kid I gave a pup too. That was almost 12 years ago. Rick had kept him till he died a few months ago.

The pup was from my old Ozarks Rebel Pride dog, and my CH Ozarks Rebel Racket gyp. It was the first litter I ever raised.
Rick and an older gentleman hunted the pup alone for a while. He treed his first coon at 4 months old.

I told Ricky the sad news about how the pups mother disapeared years ago, and that there werent many left with her blood. I only know of 2 or 3.

I told him about the line I am hunting now, and that when I raised the next litter of pups, to come pick one out.

This all got me to thinking, and I dont do that enough so my head hurt.LOL

Thats what its all about guys, I hope I can make a few hundred more of those matchups in the coming years.

Thanks Rick, you made me proud.
