I've been using a Tracker maxima,no problems with the unit so far, small size is definately a plus. When you use it around big hills, you will get some bounce back but if you go to the top of the hill, the unit will work fine again. They come with a 3 year warranty and an option to purchase 2 additional years for $50.

I have had a Tracker for many years, only problem I have had was the backlight in the display went out and was promptly replaced, actually mine got mixed up in the mail and they just sent me new one(it was about a year old at the time). Works very well her in flat country and hills.Just got back fromWv and had no problems tracking hounds there

I have a use a tracker..love mine...last week we had dogs about 1/2 mile between two roads...no barking...couldnt hear anything...got out with the tracker and started walking...went about 300 yards and caught my pup...stood for a minute and could faintly hear barking...found my buddies female in the ground under some old pushed up stumps...would never had found her untill she came out...like I say...I love mine

tracker maxima

Now this is just me so take it for what it's worth.
I would not give ya $10 for one. When they first came out bought one gave it plenty of time it plain sucked got back bleed bad then it got stuck on 6 gain 5 miles of walkin later i called them and sent it back to be looked at. got it back in 2 weeks tryed it again this time it ate my bateries realy realy bad and was not very accurate so once again i called them and sent it back 2 weeks later they shiped me a new one went hunting in the snow at about 25 degrees **** thing froze up on me at this time i had enough of them. i personally feel that they use us to field trial them for them and i am not doing that sent it back and told them to keep the **** thing and i would not buy or recomend that unit to anyone and i also told them what field testing have they done and the guy just studdered and said they did testing in finland or some 3rd world country i told them well you can put me on your list as one of the many people that are field testing it for you free of charge and this unit is crap. end of story
have read on this board and others that some people like it and i am glad for ya but have read a hole lot that ran into same problem as i have good luck
