Has anyone on here hunted with Pine Meadow Amos or Pine Meadow Bo and/or any of their pups?

i have not hunted with pine meadow amos or bo but my brother owned a littermate brother to pine meadow amos's sire, amo's sire is ch. tioga valley cody and the dog my brother owned was named nt.ch.ch. lucking's kn. lake trooper. we also bred a female to a dog named nt.ch. pages cumberland red jack. jack is a full littermate brother to wayne cambells bo dog and for one better jack lives in north carolina. the jack dog was suppose to be the most balanced dog out of that cross( pine meadow amos X wilborns dolly) we like out pups out of the jack dog and hope to breed another female to him sometime in the future. if your looking for heavy timber choper bred dog give me a call i feel we have some of the most concentrated line bred timber chopper blood out their

Pine Meadow Amos /Bo

My husband has hunted with both dogs. We almost bought Bo several years ago. We did buy a brother to him. They are really nice dogs. Calvin Shaw from KY was the owner of them. They are hard hunting dogs.

Not Hunting Related But...

It's good to see Bo has been OFA'd for hips.

Here's the report results on Pine Meadow Bo (this is available publically on the OFFA website):

Breed: REDBONE COONHOUND
Sex: M
Color: RED
Birthdate: Mar 8 1996
OFA Number Registry Report Date Final Conclusion
RCN-3G88M-NOPI HIPS Aug 1 2003 GOOD

To date, there are only ~ 3 or 4 Redbone Coonhounds that are in the OFFA database. (Not sure about the other breeds).

Mine are not yet registered with OFFA however, I have had two xrayed. I'm working on getting all my dogs xrayed once they reach 2 yrs old, then submitting to the OFFA database. It's a great learning and reference tool.

Bad hips is not totally attributed to inherited traits - diet and exercise play a big role in the skeletal development of a dog (I am not an expert but do read alot of diet and overall development of dogs.) I think there is a fear out there that if a dog comes back with a bad assessment, people may think their entire line is affected. Not true.
It's good info to have in your back pocket for your breeding program.
