All I can tell you is you better tell em to get them west Va. boys ready cause there about to git a butt whuppin like they never have before. dont worry sheep, this guy thinks zone blocking came about cause offensive linemen couldnt remember who to block. sure hope you know more about coondogs than football, armchair quarterback.

Rance, I do believe Mr. Wittenborn is the guy that not only played Division I college football but professional football.

I could be mistaken, but I think it's him. If it is him I would say he knows quite a bit about football.

Course I could have him mixed up with somebody else. Seems the guy was an Oklahoma football player and if that is true then he is a long way from home now LOL.

im not going to get into a discussion about my playing career, but i can tell you zone blocking didnt come around due to the lack of intelligence of the offensive linemen. it came about to counteract new defensive schemes and blitz packages. i cannot believe someone would go on a public forum and state offensive coordinators come up wth new protection packages cause their offensive lineman werent smart enough to remember who to block.

Yeah- West Virginia is ALOT more picky on whom they let in-most people don't get past the 1st and only question on the exam:

"Print name here"

Know why UWV students walk to school with their brothers and sisters in elementary school?

I played High school football. I was average. I started out on the offensive line my senior year. I kept getting the plays mixed up and doing the wrong thing so they moved me to defense. They put me at nose tackle. I enjoyed that much better and I also think I helped the team better there.

Can anybody tell me what is going on with Monday Night Football?? I watched the second half Monday and all I saw was "farewell to MNF", I understand it's leaving ABC but is it gone forever or moving to ESPN? Oh, GO DAWGS!!!

I was nose tackle lined up directly on the center. No one was lined up on either gaurd. We had a D-Tackle lined up on each O-tackle on either side of me. What I didn't know beforehand was that on NEARLY EVERY SINGLE RUNNING PLAY I WAS GONNA GET AT LEAST DOUBLE TEAMED AND MANY TIMES TRIPLE TEAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a big, bad, Middle linebacker named Lazarious. He was 6'2" 225 and could run a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash. He was ROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't make many tackles at all but I got a good feeling I was one of the reasons he made so many tackles and we had a few very good defensive games.

What was so frustrating sometimes was knowing that if it had of been just that center I could have stood him up and drove him back sometimes too but thats hard to do when you got someone cutting your knees out from under you at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ESPN, out bid the other NETWORK'S for the RIGHTS to MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. They are to PAY 1.1 BILLION DOLLARS, for an 8 year contract.

NBC, is getting the SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL contract for 6 years at a cost of 600 MILLION DOLLARS.

Pro Football has come along way, for that BUNCH OF "ZONE BLOCKERS". LOL

Charlie N. will you pay my TURNPIKE TOLL, or do I have to come through Grove, when I come back out that way????

I just asked the SHEEP AN HONEST QUESTION, about the BASKETBALL PROGRAM at the Univ. of Georgia. I think that we all know that there were problems WITHIN THAT PROGRAM, LATELY & I was just asking if there was any VALIDITY TO THIS SUPPOSITION OF A "FINAL EXAM"???? I DIDN'T MAKE IT UP, & I TYPED IT ALMOST WORD FOR WORD. I probably should not have asked him if there was a SIMILAR TEST FOR THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM, but I thought that I would RED-ASS him a little, in a GOOD NATURED WAY.

THEN, (& I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN) SOME JERK, WITH A "FICTITIOUS NAME", comes on HERE, with a "GOOD CASE OF DIARRHEA OF THE MOUTH". And as they say "THE REST (up to this point) IS HISTORY".

AND WE WONDER WHY THE NUMBERS ARE DOWN IN "COMPETITION HUNTS???? These are the KIND OF ATTITUDES, that have GOTTEN MORE & MORE PREVALENT IN THE COONHUNTING FRATERNITY, OVER THE YEARS.
