how many litters

how many times should you breed a gyp and at what age should you stop.

Some should never be bred, others not bred enough. If you talking about the health of the dog, some do well up to 9 or 10. I wouldnt breed them every heat cycle, maybe every other one if they are something special.

I dont think so. I think 5 would be good. Say, hunt the dog till their 3 or 4, if they are worth breeding you will definately know by then and they will be about as good as they will get. Get a litter a yr for the next 5 yrs. Sounds about right to me. Maybe 4 but depending on health at the upper ages.
Hows Jazz? I took Jack out last week. Never seen a coon or been out at nite. Just took my magnum female and Jack. Wanted to see how he reacted to the nite and what not. She struck a track on the edge of the corn and burned in there and made a circle and came back and treed. He didnt have a clue what about but he was there the whole time and barking every step. Even barked at the tree. I dont think he had a clue what about but was lovin it up. I really didnt expect him to leave my feet. Guess I will have to introduce him to the old bandit sooner than I planned. Will see what happens.
