I usually just go sit out in the yard by the dog pen.

On my old beagle hound I've been spraying "Skin So Soft" on her to keep the flies from bitting on her ears. Haven't sprayed the other hounds with it but it works on her. If ya try it let me know how it works. -Angie-

Flies

A fellow told me vineagar, sprayed on the dog works, i sprayed it on mine, it seemed to work, but they rolled around some, they didn't like the fumes it gives off.

old fashioned fly paper

its not toxic. sort of disgusting, but it does the job. Make sure you hang it high enough so the dogs don't get into it! LOL The hounds hate it when you have to pull it off them. : ) Flies tend to come in outbreaks--huge numbers for a few days, then very few, then a huge number more about two weeks days later.

or a home made spray that works.. is..

1/2 Citronilla oil
1/2 Baby Oil
a Camphor cube
