Thanks to the Tuscaloosa, Al. Coonhunters Club
I am saying thanks to this club for the hospitality they showed us while we were there. I drove from Palestine, Tx. to Tuscaloosa, Al. to meet a man to pick up some pups so my 8 yr. old daughter will have something to show next year. I also took a female of mine to show so I could finish her out. When I called to get directions I talked to one of the nicest ladies that gave me directions and how to get to the wal-mart so I wouldn't be lost. Then when we got to the clubhouse there were 2 men there that were nice and hospitable one of them were the Shumate Suppliers in Al. When people began to show up they would introduce themselves to my husband and I and then were men enough to shake my daughters hand. There was even one member that said to her young lady I'm not going to shake your hand I'll give you a hug. It meant so much that they acknowledged her. This was the first club she had been to that the men noticed her and said something to her. This is what will keep our young people interested in showing and hunting. If they are not included they will not keep interest. One of the members knew who I was meeting and when the man pulled up he went and got him and introduced us. So I wasn't looking lost trying to find him.
Gerald Gregg was the man I met to get the pups and he showed me things to look for on these show dogs. He helped me more than anyone has since I have been back and trying to show again. I want to say thanks to him for his time and help.
Since I cannot remember their names I hope someone can let them know of this thread and the Thanks I give them. And if anyone is going that direction stop for a hunt. They are good people.
Thank You, Janelle Parker
