I agree. Diamond has some good products out there, the Naturals and Extreme Athlete feeds are very good, but they continue to have trouble with recalls and bad feed.

This is the third recall they have had this spring alone, granted it is due to the same issue, but still scares me.

Several of the dog feed reps I deal with believe this will be the end of Diamond...
Business wise the phone has been ringing off the hook from people trying to find a replacement. The only bad thing is the Diamond recall is gonna drive the price of other feeds up... Its that supply and demand thing again ...

That would be hard to justify raising your price when its your own fault the supply is down that will make me look elsewhere for sure

The price increase will come from the manufacturers not the retail stores, we will all have to change prices if the main distributor goes up, we don't have a choice .. All of us will be under the thumb !!

Talked to my supplier and personally I respect diamond for what they did on this one. The amount of salmonella found in one of their egg based ingrediants was below the threshhold of allowable amounts,yet they recalled anyway. There were 8 pallets involved 7 were accounted for right away and they are just trying to round up the sacks from the eighth pallet.They could have legally just not said anything but they chose the morally responsible route instead.My hat is off to Diamond for this.

SHOULD BE THE END I KNOW IVE SEEN A PILE OF POSTS ON HERE ABOUT THE DIAMOND PROBLEMS I SELL SOUTHERN STATES AND IF IT WAS THAT BAD I WOULD NOT SELL IT OR FEED IT.
