sounds like a great reason to be proud. the first coon a pup trees is always the best in my mind. no better feeling in the world. good luck with your pup.

it's great to have the youth involved in coonhunting. there's many worse things a young feller could be doing at night. don't worry about rushing your pup along. sounds like a great start and there's plenty of time to bring him along. just keep patient and dump him by hisself and with time and boot leather you'll have a real nice dog to be real proud of.
