President Barack Obama has preached that all Americans should pay their fair share in taxes, but a government report finds that tens of thousands of federal employees — from staffers in Congress to federal agencies and even Obama's executive office — collectively owe the government billions in back taxes.

Data from the Internal Revenue Service found that more than 279,000 federal employees and retirees owed $3.4 billion in back income taxes as of Sept. 30, 2010.

The data showed that 467 employees of the House of Representatives, or about 4.2 percent of the workforce, owed more than $8.5 million. In the Senate, 217 employees, or about 3 percent of the workforce, owed $2.13 million.

Obama's staff was not immune, either, with 36 people in Obama's executive office of nearly 1,800 workers — about 2 percent — owing the government $833,970 in back taxes.

Figured it would be the" lone" one that would be the first to jump in on his defense team, looks like he's got a new recruit ! What would you expect from him, after all about all that he appointed had problems paying taxes, from Tres. Sec., down. When you work for the government, seems like they should be the first to be sure that their tax statements are right, as they are getting paid more than they would get in the private world, and are getting paid by the TAXPAYERS ! I have known a few folks that owed a little to the gubment, seen the IRS attach their wages and put liens on them till the got every cent plus interest and penalties owed that they could come up with .... if it works for common folks, why should gubment folks be exempt ?

brushrunretiree- Do you ever watch some of the shows on Fox Buisness, they talk about such things and the Occupy bunch along with Soros a bunch , more than you hear anywhere else.

8 or 10 years ago I ended the year owing the I.R.S. around $2000 dollars which I waited till the last day to mail them. They started mailing me notices wanting me to send them extra money each month so I would not end up owing them at the end of the year. I never sent any extra money and never owed very much at the end of the year, but the point is if I owe them they want it now because I am a pooor working person and I might try to beat them out of it. Ha fat chance for a poor person to get any breaks, but if I would win the lottery they would take out all my taxes before I get any.

keep aruging on here about the president that we have now after nov be aruging about the new president i will vote for who i think can run the country the best people say if we get a repulican pres we really gonna be in trouble which they probly right because they are for the rich always was and will be if we get a democrat president we still gonna be in trouble cause i think they will be just as bad as a replucain party they all lie about what thier gonna do just to get in office then they keep right on beating the working people down just like always jmo

i get where your coming from no body should try to live above what they can afford i never did if i see july i will be 62 i worked till the company told me they couldnt let me work anylonger i worked probly 10 yrs with parkisons diease they help me get on disabilty with this diease they put you on ssi when you sign up give you alittle check and a medical card they sent to thier doctors within 3 mons i was approved they kept me on the supplment for another 3 months instead of giving me my full disabilty by doing that they didnt have to give me anyback pay when i got my first full disabilty they took my medical card away said i make to much money now the people that have never worked get the ssi and a medical card people that have worked all thier life they dont want to help them this is why i feel the way i do about our gov officals and im not posting this in anyway trying to get people to feel sorry for me

LONG STORY SHORT, WE ARE NOW, AND HAVE BEEN FOR AWHILE NOW, REPAYING OUR DEAR GOVERNMENT FOR OVERPAYMENT BASED ON A CLERICAL ERROR MADE BY THE LOCAL OFFICE!!! Is any one of them left running that swear they will get rid of the income tax system? I think the Yankees went to war with the Rebels because they were jeleous of the system. They won and they took the Plantation system back home to use as their own. Can't think of anything closer to reward and punishment than the inkum tax system and we are all slaves to it in one way or another.

Well, folks, here are some answers about the President's social security number. Rather interesting.


An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, emigrated to the United States in
1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425, Obama's current SSN, in or about March of 1957. Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut . Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents. Obama has never lived or worked in that state. Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever! Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii , where he died. Conveniently, Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals. The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig's death, and because he never received Social Security benefits, there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised. The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured the probate records until she found a deceased person who had not been receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwig's Connecticut SSN for Obama. Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O's use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads exploding, because they will have no way of defending Obama. Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term "natural born" there are few who do understand that if you are using someone else's SSN it is a clear indication of fraud. Let's all start putting the word out to everybody on our mailing lists.
