accidental breeding

My bluetick gyp came in season on the sly. My nightrider B&T male got her yesterday.

Anyone use the morning after medication and what were the results?

My vet advised against it sayin it wasn't 100% and could cause death and bone marrow problems. Anyone have and information?

I've used the estrogen shot and it worked fine for me.

I used the estrogen shot on a female and she never came into heat again. Your vet is right the best thing for the female is to let her have the pups.

Accidental breeding.

Accidental breeding isn't excactly right because I'm sure the male meant to breed her, lol. There is a slight chance the female could become sterile when that kind of medicine is administered. It's your call.

Gave mine the "morning after" pills and she went on to have 11 pups anyway. Plott male and walker female. We call the pups "Plockers". Pups are 4 months old now. Female is doing great this season, but has not come back in heat yet. I expect it anytime now if she's going to.
