Heck, normally they forget Leopards . Let's make a bet right now. It's going to be walking dogs. Favorite dog to do what with? To go hunting with or go to a HUNT with?

Hunt period. I know walkers are the most popular and their also the most populated breed also. I'm just curious. I find it interesting. Never did understand why everyone likes those long legged beagles. Seems like it be harder to catch a rabbit in the briar thickets with them big long legged beagles.

All in all they are pretty good dogs and you don't have to be a decent trainer or have much patience to train one. If they weren't so agravating and need satelite technology and remote control to hunt with , I would have probably stuck with them.

l.lyle - bet you're right ! I hunt Walkers, just pleasure hunting or if I get an urge to compete, the same dog had better be able to do both . Give me those old dogs that has a turn in their hunting style and be able to wind or run ever how they find him, and I'm Happy !

There are still good ones I am sure. I had one I loved and bred him to three bitches over the course of eight years. Maybe it was my hard luck but whatever I ended up keeping was not near as good sensed as the old man . I needed GPS long before the rocket scientist developed it .

They had to put the black in them. I had a light colored one 40 years ago that I named "Can't Git Right". Then, when that "Life" movie with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence came out by golly, they had stole my dogs name.
