I got a buddy that just built a 10/22 with one of these barrels and a composite stock ..That thing is a tack drivin, light weight, killin machine.. Its amazing just how little it weighs. I built about a half dozen 10/22's with Whistle Pigs barrels. I've also used AlumaLite and my current barrel is a Tac Sol. All are aluminum bull barrels with thin steel barrel tubes. They are all around 15 ounces. Ruger reciever, aluminum barrel, Fajen Phantom or Hogue Syn stock and you have a nice under 5 pound outfit.

I've got a Magnum Research 10/22 mag with a carbon fiber barrel and aluminum receiver with hogue stock. Its light weight and a tack driver too. Always wanted to do a 10/22 with a whistle pig barrel.
