2004 ford F150 ?

My truck has a problem with GPS and Garmins . They work great in any other vehicle but when you get in my truck the GPS will not get Sattelite reception and neither will the Garmin. If you hold the Garmin out the window it will pick up . Anyone else have this problem . Its not just my Garmin either . I have tryed two GPS units . They both work in my wifes vehicle .
