Garmin Range 300-400 yards

DC 40 system, 2 collers act the same, updated everything two days ago, Everything charged up. It seems when the dogs go down in something not much more than a deep ditch or get out about 300 yards on most flat ground in some cover I lose them. Love the garmine and I read about all the 600-800 yard range others are getting. Any help welcome. Thanks; Ron Jackson

I suggest getting a new antenna. the telescope ones work great and are cheap.
