A friend and I each got a bag of this feed and it smelled rancid. just wondering if anybody else had a problem like this?

I called Diamond about a bag I got a while back, they refunded my money.I purchased another bag last week and it was a lot better but still had a stronger smell. I called Diamond and they were aware of the (rancid) smell but told me that they had tested it and the dog food was okay to feed. I was told that they hoped to remedy the problem soon. Their supplier of chicken was notified about the problem.

Just got 2 bags. First one smelled fine. Hope the second one does too. Yall also got to think about the supplier. I mean how many hands does it go through? How long has it been made and has it sat in 90-100* heat for periods of time? Or maybe there is a problem with Diamond..who knows.

I tried Native...........not impressed.

Just bought a bag of Diamond Natural chicken & Rice. I need to feed something with out corn and high fat. Its for a jacked up go yonder dog that keeps ge.tting down with lymes

I think Diamond must have had a bad batch of just about everything they put out recently. I use the Diamond Natural Chicken and Rice for the hounds and the Diamond Senior for the two house dogs (Rhodesian Ridgeback and Laekinois) All the dogs have had loose bowels.

I have been feeding the naturals and haven't seen a problem with stool or smell.

I've noticed that the smell of the bags will vary from time to time. Sometimes it's much stronger than others. No matter the smell, I've never had a change in stool or feeding results due to feed alone while using it.

I feed Black Gold and just got 2 bags that looked lot darker then before and smells funny too wonder if its a problem with a common ingredient??? Too much Fat added?? Dogs seem to be doing just fine and still eat it.............Jon
