Anything that is for sale that a normal person can affrd will have some holes in them so you'll will have to figure what you can afford and what you can overlook and what you can't. Good luck. I really wouldn't worry about a breed because you may find a dog that you like in any breed. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't be color blind. I would look for a dog locally and my advice would be never buy a dog that you can't hunt with. Make sure the dog isn't a fighter, is healthy, and will tree a coon.
Great Advice. i would add that if you can't find what you want for the price you can afford, you'd be better off to just buddy up with a guy whose got a good dog and hunt with him awhile and keep saving your money til you can afford a little more dog. I went through several "affordable" dogs that weren't worth shooting. Then, i finally got smart and waited til I could afford what I wanted. Now I got an awesome dog that I couldn't be happier with. Good luck and happy hunting!
