Garmin astro 320?

does anyone know why I would get less than 500 yards? I have the after market antenna on it, I was tracking two collars at the same time and both lost signal at the same time. 484 yards

320

When I got mine I couldnt get 200 yards. It takes a little doing but hook it up to your computer with rthe usb cable and put the garmin downloads in it and it will be fine. Mine was brand new out of the box and didnt work. I did the updates and got 3.7 miles first time out. Have never before got over a mile here with any of them. So I believe the updates will work for you. I would think they would do this where they are made so they work right out of the box but I guess they dont
